# JoomlaDay FR 2026: Join us online on 13 November for a live demo of Senso MCP

## JoomlaDay 2026, online and free

Organized by **AFUJ** (Association Francophone des Utilisateurs de Joomla!), JoomlaDay is the annual gathering of the French-speaking Joomla community. Professionals, developers, web designers, beginners and experts alike: it is an opportunity to learn, share knowledge and connect with prominent figures from the Joomla and web communities.

This year, the event takes place **entirely online**, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and is **free** thanks to its sponsor. All you need to do is register with your name and email address; the videoconferencing links will be sent to registered attendees on the day of the event.

## My talk: “Say it, Joomla does it”

From 10:40 to 11:10 a.m., I will introduce the **Model Context Protocol** (MCP) and Senso MCP in French, in two parts.

### MCP, simply explained

MCP is an open standard that allows an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to use tools made available by an application. Instead of copying and pasting content between the assistant and your site, you tell it what you want to do: it calls the right tools itself, within the limits of the permissions you have granted it. I will explain it without the jargon: what it is used for, how an assistant discovers a site's tools, and how security is ensured (OAuth authorization, Joomla user permissions, and no passwords sent to the AI).

### Senso MCP live demo

Senso MCP is the solution that turns a Joomla 5 or 6 site into an MCP server. I will demonstrate it live on a demo site, from start to finish:

- **installation** of the free Senso MCP package;
- **configuration** of the component and verification of the server settings;
- **MCP connection** between an AI assistant and the site;
- **examples of prompts** executed live: creating and organizing content, editing a menu, working on SEO… using natural language.

The goal is for you to leave knowing how to connect your own site and what you can expect from it in your day-to-day work. Permissions follow Joomla's ACL: the assistant can do only what the authorized account can do.

## Register

Registration is free and takes place directly on the [JoomlaDay programme page](https://www.joomladay.fr/programme).

Want to get a head start? The free package is available now, and the [quick start guide](https://www.sensomcp.com/en/doc/getting-started/quick-start) walks you through the process step by step: install it, check the settings, connect your assistant and run your first command. The full [documentation](https://www.sensomcp.com/en/doc) is also available online.

See you on November 13!
