# The customer account

## Free access without an account

The free package can be downloaded and used **freely, without an account or registration**, and without a Download ID. You can therefore get started right away, without going through the store.

## An account created with your first purchase

Your **customer account is created automatically when you place your first order** for a paid plan, using the information entered at checkout. There is nothing to create beforehand: it is not possible to open an account before making a purchase.

## Customer area

Once this account has been created, your customer area brings together your **licenses**, **orders**, **Download ID**, and support **tickets**. You can then log in using the credentials associated with your order.
