# Renewal

## Why renew

Each license is valid for **twelve months**. Renewing maintains access to **updates** and **support** for an additional twelve months. Your extensions continue to work without renewal, but they no longer receive fixes or new features.

Renewing before the expiration date does not mean losing any time: the twelve months are added to the current expiration date, not to the payment date. After expiration, they run from the renewal date.

## Renewal discount

Renewing an existing license comes with a **discount**, applied automatically and displayed on a dedicated line at checkout.

## Procedure

From **My licenses**, start the renewal for the relevant license: the discount is calculated and added to the cart. The same renewal can only be added to the cart once.
