The ping now uses JCH's ownRecacheTriggerhelper when present (older JCH versions keep the previous signature), and the tool reads the HTTP status: 202 = accepted, 409 = a recache is already running, anything else falls back to the background CLI and is reported inweb_ping.

- ChatGPT connector: the connection completed (OAuth, token) but no tool was ever listed. Since 1.2.0 the server answered the MCP 2026-07-28
server/discoverprobe with a discovery result that only advertised the handshake protocol 2025-06-18; ChatGPT then treated the server as "modern", found no mutually supported version and stopped beforetools/list(Claude tolerated it). The probe is now answered with "method not found" (-32601), the standard reply of a handshake-based server, which makes every dual-era client fall back toinitializeas expected. The probe is no longer written to the request log.

- MCP responses are now shielded against stray PHP output. A warning, notice or deprecation raised by Joomla core or a third-party plugin during a tool call — for instance the nested-set rebuild behind
create_category/update_category/create_menu_item/update_menu_item, or a folder scan bylist_media— is logged instead of leaking into the response body. Fixes theUnexpected token '<', "<br />\n<b>"... is not valid JSONerror seen on servers that keep PHPdisplay_errorson. - Plugin catalog is now fetched live (60-second anti-burst window instead of a 6-hour cache), with the stored copy kept only as an offline fallback when the store is unreachable. The local cache is also invalidated immediately when the license key is changed or the current domain is declared/reassigned. This fixes paid plugins staying stuck on "Your license does not cover this plugin" right after declaring the site's domain, and keeps coverage and available versions always up to date.
