Changelog & Versions
MCP Plugin for Joomla - Menus
Menus 1.1.5 (latest release)
Fixed
- Creating or moving a menu item whose alias is already used no longer fails with a fatal "ApiRouter::build()" error.
Changed
- create_menu_item picks a free alias (suffix -2, -3…) when the requested one is taken, and returns the alias actually used.
Menus 1.1.4
Fixed
get_menu_item_type_paramsno longer crashes with a fatal "Undefined constant LIBXML_RECOVER" on hosting whose libxml build does not define that constant; the XML parser flag is now guarded with a safe fallback.
Menus 1.1.3
Changed
- Release notes are now in English and shown in Joomla's Update view (changelog URL).
Menus 1.1.2
Added
- Language packs de-DE, es-ES, it-IT, nl-NL, pt-BR: translation of the plugin labels and its parameters.
Menus 1.1.1
Fixed
- update_menu_item destroyed the multilingual associations of the modified item (and of its whole group): the Joomla model
ItemModel::save()purges#__associationswhen theassociationsfield is absent. Existing associations are now re-read and passed back to the model on every change.
Added
- Multilingual associations readable and editable: get_menu_item returns
associations({language: id}); create_menu_item and update_menu_item acceptassociations({"fr-FR": 101} to link, {} to detach on update). Checks: specific languages (not *), existing targets of the given language. - create_menu_item and update_menu_item responses return the associations re-read from the database.
Menus 1.1.0
Added
- set_menu_item_home: sets (or removes) the "home page" flag on a menu item, per language. Joomla keeps only one home page per language: the previous one is automatically unset (returned in previous_home_id). Only a published component item can be the home page; the "All languages" (*) home page cannot be removed (choose another instead). State re-read from the database after the operation.
homeargument (boolean) on create_menu_item and update_menu_item: creates/updates the item then sets it as its language's home page in a single operation.- Menu item parameters read and written: get_menu_item returns the
paramsobject (menu_show, page title, heading, CSS class, metadata, component display options…),note,template_style_idandbrowserNav; list_menu_items returns them withinclude_params=true. create_menu_item and update_menu_item acceptparams(key-by-key merge onto the existing one on update),note,template_style_id,browserNav, and return the params re-read from the database. Enables faithful duplication (e.g. reusingmenu_show=0from a hidden item).
Changed
- Joomla ACL check on reads: list_menus, list_menu_items, get_menu_item and list_menu_item_types now require
core.manageon com_menus (the right the backend requires to view menus), params and notes being administration data. Writes remain gated (core.create / core.edit / core.edit.state / core.delete on com_menus); set_menu_item_home requires core.edit.state (and core.edit via the Joomla model).
Menus 1.0.1
Changed
- Hardening: each write tool is guarded by the matching Joomla right on com_menus (core.create, core.edit, core.edit.state, core.delete) in addition to the MCP scope.
Menus 1.0.0
Changed
- First stable release, distributed as a standalone plugin (Pro offer) via the sensomcp.com ARS.
