Added
  • Language string overrides (substitutions) management: list_substitutions, get_substitution, set_substitution and delete_substitution. Read and write the per‑language override files for the site and administrator clients. set/delete accept client: both (the native Joomla association — writes to site and administrator at once) and all_languages: true (replicate the override across every installed content language).
Note
  • Overrides are stored, as in Joomla core, in <client>/language/overrides/<lang>.override.ini (read/written through Joomla's own LanguageHelper). There is no native cross‑language association in Joomla — all_languages is a convenience provided by this plugin.
  • Write tools are gated by the Joomla core.manage permission on com_languages (aligned with the site's ACL).

  • Language associations for modules (type module) on Joomla 6.1 and later: link the translations of a module together, exactly as with articles, categories and menu items — via get_associations, set_associations and remove_association.
Note
  • The module type is exposed only when the site runs Joomla 6.1 or later (module associations were introduced in Joomla 6.1). On older versions it is hidden from the tools and rejected with an explicit message.
