JoomlaDay FR 2026 will take place on Friday 13 November 2026, entirely online and free of charge. A day of talks for the French-speaking Joomla community, with artificial intelligence taking centre stage. I will be presenting the MCP protocol and Senso MCP, with a live demonstration: “Just say it, Joomla does it: SensoMCP and the Model Context Protocol”, from 10:40 to 11:10.

MCP Server for Joomla, live demo - JoomlaDay FR 2026

JoomlaDay 2026, online and free

Organised by AFUJ (the French-speaking Joomla! Users Association), JoomlaDay is the annual event for the French-speaking community. Professionals, developers, web designers, beginners and experts alike: it is an opportunity to learn, share knowledge and exchange ideas with Joomla and web professionals.

This year, the event will take place entirely online, from 8:45 am to 5:45 pm, and is free thanks to its sponsor. All you need to do is register with your name and email address; the video conferencing links will be sent to registered attendees on the day itself.

My talk: “Tell Joomla what to do and it does it”

From 10:40 to 11:10 am, I will present the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Senso MCP in French, in two parts.

MCP, simply explained

MCP is an open standard that enables an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to use tools made available by an application. Rather than copying and pasting content between the assistant and your site, you tell it what you want to do: it calls the right tools itself, within the limits of the permissions you have granted it. I will explain it without the jargon: what it is for, how an assistant discovers a site's tools, and how security is ensured (OAuth authorisation, Joomla user permissions and no password being passed to the AI).

Senso MCP live demo

Senso MCP is the solution that turns a Joomla 5 or 6 site into an MCP server. I will demonstrate it live on a demo site, from start to finish:

  • installation of the free Senso MCP package;
  • configuration of the component and checking the server settings;
  • MCP connection of an AI assistant to the site;
  • examples of prompts executed live: creating and organising content, editing a menu, working on SEO… using natural language.

The aim is for you to leave knowing how to connect your own site and what you can expect from it in your day-to-day work. Permissions follow Joomla's ACL: the assistant can only do what the authorised account can do.

Register

Registration is free and takes place directly on the JoomlaDay programme page.

Want to get ahead? The free package is available now, and the quick start guide takes you through the process step by step: install it, check the settings, connect your assistant and run your first command. The full documentation is also available online.

See you on 13 November!
