Licence model (GPL)

Senso MCP is open-source software. This section clarifies what you are actually purchasing with a licence — and what is never restricted.

GPL open-source software

Senso MCP extensions are distributed under the GNU GPL (version 2 or later). You are free to use and modify the software in accordance with the terms of the GPL.

GNU General Public License, version 2

What the licence covers

Purchasing a licence entitles you to downloads, updates and support for the duration of your subscription. It does not grant you the right to use the code (the GPL already gives you that), but provides a distribution and support service.

No runtime blocking

This is a fundamental principle: the expiry of a licence will never block the operation of an already-installed plugin. An expired licence only ends access to downloads, updates and support — it never stops the solution from running on your site.

Registered domain & Download ID

Each licence is associated with a registered domain and a Download ID. The Download ID, entered in Joomla, authorises the download of updates for paid extensions for the relevant site (see the Shop & licences section).
